Matthew 5:14-16

"This Little Light of Mine"

Jesus left us to be influencers in the world around us.

The Presence

Light represents Presence. You are the light of the world. He wants us to have a presence in this dark world. Philippians 2:15, let your light shine in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. We are in the world but not of the world. The believer has to be different.

The Place

Everyone has a place in God’s kingdom. The light has to be strategically placed. Your job is to light the area that God has placed you. Every believer has a place they need to shine. Don't place your light under a bushel.

A Purpose

If you are designed to shine then shine. It is a witness to the lost world. Good works are motivated by love. God empower us to do good works unto His glory.

Paul says I'm crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20). Good works is a witness and testimony unto the Lord. We need to learn how to point people to God

The Power

Light conquers darkness. A little match can light up a big area (John 3:19). Light covers darkness in a drab world. When the light hit drab places it turns it into something beautiful. The light of Christ working through us punch holes in the darkness. We should let our light shine in our communities. We are little reflections of Jesus Christ.
