Follow Along with the Message

  1. The Problems Israel Heard

The Problem with the wilderness around them (vv. 10-11)

  1. They had a problem with the wilderness around them. Isreal felt trapped. Israel was wandering around in confusion.

The truth is God allowed them to be there.

  1. They had a problem with the world behind them (vv. 5-6).

Pharaoh had a change of heart about letting Israel go.

Some times our former life are right behind us. Christians are constantly struggling with the old nature. The old nature attempts to hunt us down and take us out.

III. They had a problem with the worry within them.

The multitude were worried along with Moses (vv. 14-15)

Worry can hinder our forward progress. They took their problems to the Lord.

God responded to their worry by telling them to go forward.

  1. The Prompting Israel Heard verses 15.

They had a slave mindset but God still wanted them to move forward.

Whenever the enemy comes after us we have a tendency to be fearful. However God wants us to move forward. God told them to not fear but to move forward.

Stand firm and see what the Lord is going to do.

  1. The Plan that Helped (vv. 15-16)

To get to the promised land they must first start moving

forward. Christians need to stop procrastinating and take the first step.

God provided hope:

It seemed hopeless but God had a plan. Moses stretched his hand out and the red sea parted (vv. 21-22).

If we go forward God will make a way. God can do the miraculous when we move forward.
